During a sermon just this pass Sunday a young Priest made a comment about those who went to see the DaVinci Code which I did not agree with...

First and foremost, when I go to the movies, I go there because I like to be entertained by the visual effects, the characters' play, the overall story and broaden my knowledge. The comment that I have heard was that the DaVinci Code was made as a "Hollywood's revenge" for the 'Passion of Christ' as it did not take part in its production - as it was solely funded by one individual. The Priest went on to say that those who had paid for the movie are buying what "they"[Hollywood] are selling. Now this is what I do not agree with. I did go to see that movie but I do not certainly agree with the information that was "sold" to me. I am a practicing catholic and certainly did not agree with the information presented in the movie (the ideas were cleverly explained and made the spectator think...) as the Priest assumed. I just hoep that all of the attendees of the sermon did not get offended as I did.

As for the movie, I certainly preferred the book over the movie... maybe because I am one of those that like reading the books :)
